Abstract

The paperis devoted to the analysis of a fictionalcharacter's linguistic portrait, the detection of their individual speaking habits. The paperpresents a lexical and grammatical analysis of Hannibal Lecter's speech from the books of Thomas Harris's trilogy «Red Dragon» and «The Silence of the Lambs», as well as the analysis of Lecter's gender-based style of communication with different characters.
