Finite element analysis of composite leaf spring for automotive vehicle
Abstract
In the modern car industry, suspension setups and mass balance in heavy-duty trucks determine wear and tear. The truck’s key component is connected to the spring design in a semi-elliptical quadrilateral cross- section. Most of the suspension system is connected via a leaf spring and shackle bracket. The primary leaf spring assembly in the car, which dampens vibration across the whole vehicle, is linked to the shackle bracket. It is essential for minimizing losses in the car’s tires and body. The focus of this research’s suggested application is on car suspension and its constituent parts. In accordance with accepted design principles, the design is developed using the current dimensions. SOLID WORKS software is used to produce the 3D model, which is then loaded into FEA software (ANSYS) for structural parameter analysis with respect to various composite materials.
