THE CONCEPTS OF IMPRISONMENT AND MADNESS IN STEPHEN KING’S WORKS
Abstract
Stephen King’s oeuvre can be viewed as a wholesome literary universe, a complex structure of interrelated concepts. This paper features two of them – imprisonment and madness, describes their most peculiar features and metaphors, and identifies the spheres in which they overlap. The works under consideration are classified according to the way they represent the concepts.
