Follow-Up of Abnormal Uterine Bleeding in Preventive Health Services with A Model of Functional Health Patterns
Abstract
Abnormal Uterine Bleeding is a preferred term for describing a symptom spectrum, such as intense menstrual bleeding, menstrual bleeding, and a combination of both intense and long menstrual bleeding. This terminology was created by the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO). The Working Group on Menstrual Disorders was established in 2011 and has since been recognized worldwide. FİGO is a structured approach to determine the cause of abnormal uterine bleedings using PALM-COEIN (Polyp, Adenomyosis, Leiomyoma, Malignancy (and hyperplasia), Coagulopathy, Ovulatory disorders, Endometrial, classified as a structured Approach System). Abnormal uterine bleeding is the most common gynecological problem in women's life cycles. Abnormal uterine bleeding problems can begin in the adolescent period, which is the beginning of the menstrual period. The use of a model of functional health patterns in preventive health care allows these problems to be detected at an early stage, minimize the problems experienced, and improve the quality of life of women.
