Los sujetos de la independencia de Brasil en la escuela y en otros lugares
Abstract
This article presents the problem over subjects in the school narrative of history, aiming at the representation of protagonists who are portrayed as heroes in some versions of these narratives. It focuses, in particular, on the role of discursive strategies, among the different forms of social communication and the teaching of History, to introduce historical subjects, using Pedro I of Brazil in the narrative of Brazil's independence as the analytical basis. The article problematizes some contemporary sources, examples of social communication media, and dialogues with the bibliography on the subject as it analyzes narratives of history textbooks approved in the PNLD 2011. Considering these sources, the assumption is confirmed that the heroification of characters in the narrative - at school or not - about the common past has some social functions. The hypothesis defended that this type of discursive constitution of characters – with a biographical emphasis and based on distinction – can be successful because of the expectations, placed by the public in the narratives about the past, present in different cultural products.
