PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF COUNTERPRODUCTIVE WORK BEHAVIOR IN ROMANIAN HOTEL INDUSTRY ORGANIZATIONS
Abstract
In this article, the author tried to outline a model of the main features that describe the CWB of nine Romanian hotel industry organizations. Counterproductive work behaviors are behaviors that are intended to harm the organization and are quite common among employees worldwide. The data showed that in the case of Romanian hotel industry, CWB can be related to a multitude of factors: seniority in the employer organization, the size of the organization, the leadership style and organizational culture. Hotel organizations that have implemented clear policies for managing complex workloads (especially four- and five-star hotels) recorded a lower level of sabotage and dishonesty among employees.
