Study on Modification Effects of Fish Passage Facilities in Angu Hydropower Station in Dadu River
Abstract
Due to the changed operating water level after the building of Angu Hydropower Station in Dadu River, the gate floors of the vertical slot fishway and nature-like passage are chiseled to lower the elevation and ensure water flow conditions. In order to understand the hydraulic condition of the modified fishway and the effect of fish passing, the water level and flow velocity in the fish passage facility are measured. The features of fishes in ecological river channels and fish passage facilities are investigated through net capturing. In addition, the operation status of fish passage facilities and the changes in aquatic ecological investigation results before and after modification are analyzed. The following main conclusions are drawn. After modification, the operation guarantee rate of fishway and passage is greatly improved, and the hydrodynamic conditions are close to the design effect; there are more fish species within the survey area after modification, and the species number of some migratory fishes has increased remarkably; there are obvious differences in fish species between vertical slot fishway and nature-like passage of ecological river sluice in Angu Hydropower Station, and the two channels are suitable for different fish species, showing a complementary effect.
