New perspectives in film reception of Ancient History: the example of «Dacii / Les guerriers» (Sergiu Nicolaescu, Romania / France 1966)

Abstract

This paper analyzes a film that deals with an episode in the history of the Roman Empire practicaly ignored by the cinema: the military campaigns undertaken by the emperor Domitian in the province of Dacia.
