The article presents the results of many years of research the medicinal plants of the genus Paeonia L. in culture on the Kola Peninsula. the rhythms of seasonal development has been studied. As a result, it was found that most of the studied species of the genus Paeonia have time to go through the full cycle of seasonal development in the conditions of the Arctic. The group of plants reaching the fruiting phase is very heterogeneous: 1. - plants bloom and bear fruit annually: P. anomala; 2. - plants bloom and bear fruit periodically: P. officinalis, P. mascula, P. obovata and P. tenuifolia; 3. - plants periodically bloom, but fruiting was observed only once: P. lactiflora, P. tenuifolia and P. veitchii. The rhythm of the seasonal development of peony species depends on weather conditions. The studied species are highly decorative throughout the growing season. All plants winter without shelter, unpretentious, do not require special cultivation techniques.
