Chongqing expert consensus on radiological examination and diagnostic criteria for SARS-CoV-2 lung infection

Abstract

As the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) continued to spread and mutate, our national epidemic prevention and control has entered a new stage since November 2022, and the Diagnosis and Treatment Protocol for SARS-CoV-2 infection (Tentative 10th Edition) has also been implemented. In order to update radiologists' understanding of SARS-CoV-2 pulmonary infection, standardize the process of radiology examination, and ensure the quality of diagnosis and treatment, this expert consensus was specially compiled by the Cardiothoracic Group of the Radiology Branch of Chongqing Medical Association, as well as by the Chongqing Quality Control Center for Medical Imaging. The consensus mainly includes the radiology examination, radiological manifestations, reporting standards and quality control of SARS-CoV-2 pulmonary infection, so as to guide and normalize the work of radiology departments of medical institutions at all levels in this city.
