The preparation of cellulose and, from it, a wide range of textile fibers and products of infinite uses (explosives, paper, paints, etc.) became, over the last onslaught of the Spanish civil war, strategic objective for the side of the rebels. The result of this was the enactment of laws and decrees that sought to benefit the development of a domestic industry, which allow end burdensome imports. With this text is to analyze the implementation of SNIACE in Torrelavega (Cantabria), declared of national interest, to approach economic policy developed during the early years of the Franco’s regime and determine the degree of involvement of the Italian power in the industrial sector, also the defining features of this interested familiarity.
