China is a large country of liver diseases, the popularization of anti-hepatitis virus drugs is an effective means of infectious disease prevention and treatment in China, which makes the incidence of infectious hepatitis continue to decline. However, with the continuous improvement of people's living standards, the incidence rate of liver diseases caused by obesity, diabetes and excessive drinking has risen sharply. It is expected that liver diseases induced by alcoholic or obesity will replace viral liver diseases as the main cause of affecting people's health in the next 10 to 20 years. Alcoholic liver disease (ALD) caused by alcohol has not been paid due attention for a long time, and the national investment and research level still need to be strengthened. In recent years, the potential efficacy of functional peptides in the prevention and treatment of alcoholic liver disease has attracted extensive attention. The research on the prevention and treatment of alcoholic liver injury with functional active peptides in recent years was reviewed, the metabolic pathway of ethanol in the body was analyzed, and the pathogenesis of alcoholic liver injury was explained, the mechanism of functional active peptides for preventing and treating alcoholic liver injury was analyzed, and scientific basis for the development of functional active peptides for preventing and treating alcoholic liver injury was provided.
