Nematodes are mostly root feeders living in soil and cause gradual yield reduction. The degree of damage depends on crop husbandry, nematode density and environmental conditions. The aim of current study was to monitor the external and internal symptoms of potato tubers taken from different locations and highlighting the importance of phytosanitary quality of planting material. The evaluation was performed by collecting 5 potato plants from 5 locations together with the soil from their rhizosphere. In the laboratory were analyzed: underground vegetative organs of plants - newly formed roots, stolons and tubers; extraterrestrial vegetative organs - stem, leaves; the soil in the rhizosphere of plants. During the vegetation period, no pathologies were observed neither in the above-ground nor in the underground part of the potato plants. After the storage period, a new selection was made and no symptomatic tubers were detected.
