Znaczenie agroturystyki w dochodowości gospodarstw rolnych na przykładzie Polski południowo-wschodniej

Abstract

One of the activities in rural areas, except agriculture, is agritourism. It goes very close to agriculture. The article is evaluation attempt of importance of agritourism as a factor of rural activation and the source of alternative income in rural areas in south-eastern Poland.The study presents analysis of survey research concerning, among others, assessment of the opportunities agritourism business and income made from it. In this scientific work it was also included an evaluation of development prospects of agritourism in the surveyed area of south-eastern Poland. The development of this activity brings farmers some new incomes. Such form of earning money is very popular among farmers in many countries, even the richest ones. Average, agritourism in south-eastern Poland creates from 20 to 30% of farm income. Almost 6% owners of surveyed farms has determined growth of income coming from agritourism for 40–50%.
