A few words about the church of St. Constantine and Helena in Red Apple village
Abstract
This paper discusses the church of St. Constantine and Helena in the village of Crvena Jabuka (Red Apple) in Babušnica municipality. This single-breasted church was erected in 1868 by Petko Petković, an immigrant from Kosmet. It is one of the oldest and best preserved churches in this area. The church itself became famous after the visit of King Alexandar Obrenovic and Queen Draga Mašin who arrived in the village on horseback bringing two church bells as a gift. The sound of these bells is still echoing the Red Apple's mountain ridges.
