Tendências contemporâneas no ensino de língua portuguesa e literatura
Abstract
This paper intends to characterize and contextualize the teaching of Portuguese Language and Literature under the influence of post-modernity. After a concise review of the literature about the subject, we verify that to analyze the needs brought by the current time becomes more important than responding if we really live in a postmodern world. About the teaching of Portuguese language, we indicate that the “model” used during the last two decades – with emphasis on teaching grammar – has been criticized and viewed as inefficient because it misses the basic skills of reading and writing of the students. The Literature of contemporaneity suffered a kind of massification. Therefore, we realized the need for teacher training policies related to the contemporary needs.
