Venezuela: del ajuste neoliberal a la promesa de “Socialismo del siglo XXI”
Abstract
El presente artículo, partiendo de un marco conceptual en torno a la democracia, pretende identificar los rasgos fundamentales del proyecto de gobierno que actualmente rige en Venezuela, y que está liderado por el presidente Hugo Chávez. Se analizan los cambios en el sistema político, en el ámbito económico, en el área social, en participación ciudadana, y en política exterior, realizando una comparación con los dos gobiernos precedentes, el de Carlos Andrés Pérez y el de Rafael Caldera.___________________ABSTRACT:The article takes as its starting point the conceptual framework around democracy and attempts to identify the fundamental characteristics of the project of the government currently in power in Venezuela, led by the president Hugo Chávez. It analyses the changes in the political system, in the field of economy, in the social area, in the citizen participation and the foreign policy, making a comparison with two preceding governments, headed by Carlos Andrés Pérez and Rafael Caldera.
