This paper presents aspects regarding the toxic effects that certain substances such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, heavy metals and other carcinogens exert on the human body and how they influence the health of the population. The harmful, toxic effects that carcinogens present in the workplace and life have on the human are essential in assessing the risk to his health.
