We analyzed inpatient medical records of children aged 0–12 months: 33 infants treated in 2012 and 26 infants received treatment for pertussis in 1997–2001 in Lviv regional clinical hospital of infectious diseases. It is found that the incidence of pertussis is increasing, a clear seasonality of the disease рофы been determined, differences of modern pertussis by a series of clinical and laboratory parameters were revealed. Three main reasons, which probably determined these differences in clinical course of pertussis in infants, were defined: change in the dominant serotype of B.pertussis, the use of new types of vaccines, the introduction of modern treatment protocols for pertussis.
