Literary works are always the top target audience for high school students. But, during the receiving process, students do not seem to have an overall overview of literary works. From those gaps, students are still confused on the journey to discovering detailed knowledge. Therefore, teachers need to train students to develop skills in summarizing narrative works, help students clearly understand and realize the importance of summarizing literary works. In particular, in the new educational context, when students will have access to many sources other than textbooks, the skill of summarizing narrative works needs to be mentioned more than ever.
