Background: diabetic foot is considered a medical emergency and a public health problem. In Natural and Traditional Medicine, we find several therapeutic options, one of them is ozone therapy. Objective: to describe the results of ozone treatment in type 2 diabetic patients with neuroinfectious diabetic foot, admitted in the angiology room of "Camilo Cienfuegos" Teaching General Hospital from Sancti Spíritus, in the period January 2019 to December 2021. Methods: a descriptive, longitudinal and retrospective study was performed in the patients declared in the objective. The universe was 60 patients, being selected as a sample the 40 patients who received exclusive treatment with ozone therapy, with ages between 40 and 70 years. Patients' medical records were reviewed. Systemic treatment with ozone therapy was applied. Results: patients with ages between 50 and 59 years predominated (42.5 %), those of the male sex (55.0 %), generally had five years or more of evolution in their basic disease, with combined treatment (oral hypoglycemic plus insulin). Overweight or obesity and smoking were the associated risk factors mostly found. Response to ozone alone was good in most patients (87.5 %). Conclusions: ozone therapy is a form of natural medicine that was effective in the therapy of type 2 diabetic patients with neuroinfectious foot.
