ANOMALY AS A MOTIVE FOR THE NAMES (ON THE MATERIAL OF RUSSIAN SURNAMES)

Abstract

The article is devoted to the means of expressing the opposition “norm - anomaly” in the Russian language. It is proved that the norm in comparison with the anomaly is less represented in the language. The author lists specific means of expressing anomalies on the lexical, word-formation, morphological, syntactic and stylistic levels. The structural-semantic method of the analysis of language units is used. Particular attention is paid to the Russian nicknames, which reflect various deviations from the norm, characteristic of the first carriers of the nickname-surname. The article is addressed to philologists, graduate students, undergraduates; and allows to look at the Russian onomasticon from a new angle.
