The description of a new species Manda tanaitica sp. n. from the Rostov area (south of the European part of Russia) is given. Diagnostic features (microsculpture of the surface of pronotum, structure of the parameres and median lobe of the aedeagus) differentiating the new species from the known European species M. mandibularis (Gyllenhal, 1827) are illustrated
