This research with a qualitative and exploratory approach was produced from interviews with two teachers and a pedagogical coordinator who work in Early Childhood Education in Colinas do Tocantins/TO. The objective was to analyze how Early Childhood Education in the municipality was structured in the context of the pandemic, in the year 2021, focusing on aspects related to the Body, Gesture and Movement field of experience recommended by the National Common Curricular Base. Based on this analysis, reflect on playing and moving as essential languages for children. In the process of interpretive analysis, the adoption of remote teaching for Early Childhood Education and the challenges felt by the teachers in carrying out this work were identified. As alternatives for coping with difficulties, the expansion of dialogue with the family and the adoption of different languages for communicating with the children stand out. The teachers made an effort to contemplate the field of experience Body, gesture and movement and had a body demand for the production of audiovisual materials for the children. It is concluded that, despite this effort, in proposals for remote teaching for Early Childhood Education, there was little emphasis on body language and appreciation of children's protagonism.
