Polarization of temperature waves in a dual heat flux vector space
Abstract
A new concept of a “dual” heat flux vector is advanced to phenomenologically explain the polarization of conventional temperature waves, which are known to be transverse. The paper demonstrates a novel possibility for inward spiralling in spatial elliptic polarization of these waves, in the dual heat flux vector space and for a projection for this spiralling into the realistic space of scalar temperature waves. A proposition for a related experimental verification is also reported.
