Mediation and its Impact on criminal Procedures
Abstract
Mediation is the process by which a neutral person assists the parties in reaching a mutually acceptable agreement about the issues in the case. In the context of the criminal justice, mediation is a newly adopted by contemporary criminal policy to contribute to the treatment of the continually increasing number of cases before criminal courts, and a reliable procedure to resolve criminal disputes of a simple nature. This paper looks at the criminal mediation as one of the restorative and compensative Justice practices which is based on the idea of victim's compensation and rehabilitation e of the offender, and its ability to end a dispute before starting the Criminal lawsuit.
