El Noroeste de Murcia: Territorio, población y economía a mediados del siglo XVII
Abstract
The jurisdictional complexity of the Kingdom of Murcia was reflected in the Northwest of the current Region of Murcia, occupied by three military orders. They will be analysed using Catastro de Ensenada land registry documents, which provide clues as to its territorial and socioeconomic reality in the mid-18th century. The analytical and inferential method applied to the qualitative and statistical data is used to describe and compare them to the means of government: territory, settlements, activity, economic sectors and welfare using two parameters, disposable income and the ability to directly access goods and services.
