During the harvest of agricultural products can be significant losses and the speed can influence this loss process. These losses can reduce productivity, profit and cause losses to the producer. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the qualitative and quantitative losses in mechanical harvesting of corn depending on the working speed. A harvester with axial track system and four-speed was evaluated of work (6, 7, 8 and 9 km h-1) in a property located in the municipality of Tapurah - MT. The highest speeds of harvest showed better performance, once that parameters like index of cracking, losses of grain in cob, total losses and grains loose were lower in this speeds. Thus this it can be inferred that such speeds provide reduced losses at the level of harvest, and damage to storage conditions.
