The social and cultural concepts of the civilization of a nation are always deeply rooted in the doctrines of belief. In some situations this attachment is general but in many others this attachment has a natural inclination and deep roots in the beliefs, which are difficult to be separated. This natural phenomenon is also applies to the Islamic concept of civilization. The concept of Tawhid the foremost component in the doctrines of Islamic belief. To an extent this concept of Tawhid or unity of one God can be visualized in almost all religious philosophies. The astonishing fact that these doctrines are also found even in those religions which are not been considered as revealed religions. The concept of religious doctrines found in these religions is thought provoking and a subject matter for further research. It may be perceived from the above discussion that the concept of Tawhid or unity of one God is a natural desire or urge of the humans and those who don’t accept and practice this belief cannot ignore this natural phenomenon. The concept of Tawhid provides the fundamental foundation of Islamic Civilization which encompasses the universal concept of Islamic Civilization. In this paper we will discuss the concept of civilization. Islamic Civilization its components, basic characteristics and its effects on the Western civilization in the light of the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
