Introduction Dental material hardness measures its indent resistance with a tough alloy (steel or diamond). The aim of the study Investigations were aimed at testing the microhardness and determination of its variation in the case of flexible acrylic resins used in prosthetic therapy with partial dentures. Material and methods Experimental research on determining microhardness changes were made on 3 flexible acrylic resins: Biodentaplast, Lucitone FRS and Valplast FP. Specimens were performed in the dental laboratory of Clinical Base of dental teaching-"Gr.T.Popa" UMF Iaşi. Vickers microhardness measurement was performed using CV Instruments 400 DM in the laboratory of Surface Engineering of Materials Science and Engineering Faculty of the "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University Iasi. Results Highest average was obtained in determinations on specimen Valplast FP from Valplast International Corp, followed by Lucitone FRS from Dentsply and the lowest average microhardness was obtained for Biodentaplast from Bredent. Conclusions In technology of partial dentures hardness value indicates the ease of finishing a structure and resistance to abrasion while performing function
