ACADEMIC OLYMPICS AS A MOTIVATION METHOD FOR IN-DEPTH STUDYING OF SUBJECTS
Abstract
The article presents the issues to increase motivation of university students to study special disciplines through Subject Olympics, by the example of the Olympiad in «Biological Chemistry» that improves knowledge and students' professional training. The authors share their experience in Biochemistry Olympics which develops cognitive interest and creative abilities of students. One of the ways to solidify and control knowledge in various types of testing is reflected. The tasks used over the Olympics in the practical and theoretical rounds for intramural stage are described.
