El Grito de Riego (8-I-1823/17-VI-1823) en el ocaso del Trienio Liberal
Abstract
This paper deals with the general description of El Grito de Riego (8-I-1823/17-VI-1823). This journal published in Cádiz during the Liberal Triennium (1820-1823) reflects the tense political situation in the first half-year 1823, when the liberalism division is noticeable. El Grito de Riego positioned as a moderate paper and attacked the comuneros for their aspirations to take the power; while criticized the weakness of the constitutional system as result of the conflict with the moderate section. The literature was used as political weapon in this journal, and this will be analized in depth in the present study.
