Key Clinical Message Despite the name, eosinophilia is not essential for diagnosing drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS syndrome). Early recognition and stopping the offending drug are vital to managing this condition, as it can otherwise lead to high mortality rates.
