LEDs APPLICATION IN THE SERVICE OF URBAN PASSENGER TRANSPORT IN THE CITY OF URUAPAN MICHOACÁN

Abstract

The use of urban transport in the city of Uruapan Michoacán and the rest of the country is essential. The bus routes are identified by labeled numbers, however in the darkness of early morning, evening or rainy day, they is difficult to identify, because of the material used (white shoes paint). Through high-brightness LEDs, displays can be built based on seven-segment digits that display the route number. Without using programmable devices it is possible to turn on/off each segment and easily get any number from 0 to 9, also it is possible to the cost of equipment and get less fragile circuits.
