Pengaruh Inkuiri Terbimbing terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains dan Pemahaman Konsep Optik Siswa Kelas VIII

Abstract: This research was aimed to know whether there is a difference in science process skill and concept comprehension on optical materials of students who learn with guided inquiry learning with discovery learning. The research design used was quasi-experimental type pretest-posttest control group design. Hypothesis test in research using Anacova (Analysis of Covariance). The results showed that (1) there is a difference in science process skill of experimental class and control class where the science process skill of experiment class student is higher than control class student; (2) there is a difference of understanding of optical material concept of experimental class and control class where the students' understanding of optical concept of experimental class is higher than control class students. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan keterampilan proses sains dan pemahaman konsep pada materi optik antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dan pembelajaran discovery learning. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental tipe pretest posttest control group design. Uji hipotesis dalam penelitian menggunakan Anakova (Analisis of Covariance). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dimana keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa kelas kontrol dan (2) terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep materi optik siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dimana pemahaman konsep optik siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa kelas kontrol.
