Chékri Ganem and Charles Corm are the first most representative authors of French Lebanese literary consciousness. They found their identity on their mythical Phoenician origins and the Christian faith. The theme of departure and return running through their work refers to the parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15,11-32) and responds to the injunction of the mission of Mark 16,15. They weave the particularism of their identity from the universalism of their cultures shared between East and West.
