The creation of protected areas results in changes of territorial dynamics. These changes are not without consequences for the communities adjacent to protected areas and, the benefits are not necessarily distributed evenly between the different territories. From an environmental justice framework we address the issue of impacts associated with the creation of protected areas and more specifically, the relationship between the National Park of Guadeloupe and its peripheral communities.
