In the article, the authors highlight a frequent infant's pathology of urinary system — pyelonephritis. They provided new data on the most frequent causative agents of the illness, as well as on the factors, contributing to the development and chronization of the inflammatory process. The researchers give a detailed description of the diagnostics issues, treatment and prevention principles along with etiology and pathogenesis. The authors share their own experience in the given pathology therapy with the colleagues.Key words: urinary system infection, pyelonephritis, etiology, pathogenesis, diagnostics, clinical course, treatment, children.
