Comparare l’incomparabile. Un’oscillazione interculturale
Abstract
Comparing What is not Comparable. An Intercultural Swinging - Comparative studies of other cultures compare what is incomparable, and this in terms of what only appears as such through our comparison. One equalizes what is not equal. Any comparison is partial because the place of comparison is always part of a certain culture. Our phenomenological approach takes into account on the one hand, what precedes all comparison in terms of an intercultural intertwining, and respects on the other hand, what exceeds all comparison in terms of a transcultural surplus. Only cultures which turn out to be more than mere cultures are protected from falling into the sleep of normalisation.
