Crown Preparation (Out of Print)

Abstract

Abstract This resource is an online course demo providing dental students with fundamental didactic and technical knowledge to begin preclinical skill development for full crown preparations. The course was developed by Ronald Kaiser and Heiko Spallek at the Temple University School of Dentistry. Targeted to predoctoral students, the course uses state-of-the-art multimedia technologies. Students are able to directly manipulate three-dimensional models of various crown preparation stages. The course incorporates a variety of interactive features, including images that let students examine the dimensions and contours of the burs in comparison to the dimensions and the shape of the crown preparation. QuickDraw 3D allows the direct manipulation of 3D graphical models by the users. This demo can be used without any restrictions with any browser as long as the three plugins are installed.
