Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) outbreak was first declared as emergency on January 30th2020 by World Health Organization (WHO). The Government of Pakistan presented a National action plan, which aimed to inhibit the spread of this Corona virus and to reinforce the effective reaction due to this COVID-19 epidemic. Lahore General Hospital (LGH) is the first public sector hospital that started COVID-19 real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR) testing to serve community. COVID-19 has affected the mental health of public in general and health professional in particular. We need to support healthprofessionals to do theirjobs, be safe and stay alive. Future research should explore the fears andcoping strategies of health professionals during pandemics.
