The site Nazca 313 is located in the neighborhood of Flores. This is a private home that features roman architecture, which is very common in this part of the city.We conducted a rescue excavation to note that the floor of one of the areas of the house was gradually sinking. The rescue involved the excavation of a unit of one square meter with a deepness of forty-six centimeters. Among other metal objects three weights for fishing nets, made of pure lead, were found. These “sinkers” were inserted in the net with the aim of maintaining sunk while fishing was done in the Rio de la Plata. We intend to integrate the available historical data, particularly those dealing with the world of fishing in Buenos Aires, with the material evidence provided by optical metallography performed on the samples and their subsequent interpretation
