Studying of the conjugate catalytics degidration of methanol to formaldehyde in the presence of hydrogen peroxide
Abstract
From the studies of the kinetics of methanol conjugate dehydration process, a kinetic model has been proposed and kinetic parameters calculated. It was discovered that when other substances like ethane, ethylene were used as initiators the catalyst surface coked rapidly. On the K-1 model in the presence of hydrogen peroxide (1% in water solution of the initial methanol) the temperature of the dehydration process reduces by 50-60ºС at 50% formaldehyde yield and allows for the reaction to be carried out at a temperature of 820-830ºС
