Abstract

The paper is dealing with basic themes, approaches, problems and tasks of the environmental economics as a discipline. At the present time, a primary aim seems to be to develop and to apply the economic principles to the field of protection and creation of the environment. The discipline should be used more intensively at resolving practical environmental problems as well as at forming an efficient environmental policy.
