Considers the problem of implementation of the requirements of Federal act to improve the quality of training of a competent specialist middle management in the engineering industry. As one of the ways to solve this problem is to use the monitoring of development of professional competences, allowing to control the process of formation of professional competences of students of the College. One of the main tasks of the organization of system of monitoring of professional competence in College is providing feedback that allows you to control the quality of the process. The authors examine the nature of pedagogical monitoring of formation of professional competence of students as a means of quality management of educational process on the example of his research in Togliatti engineering College.
