PECULIARITIES OF CYTOPROTECTION IN THE STOMACH AND SOME ASPECTS OF PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION OF BISMUTH DRUGS

Abstract

The article provides historic development of ideas about the protective mucous barrier in the stomach, a modern vision of the cytoprotection in the stomach is provided, and possibilities of pharmacologic cytorpotective drugs are described. Cytoprotective properties of the bismuth salt based drugs are stated.
