La historia como concepto histórico: historia erudita, historia filosófica e historia científica en los siglos XVIII y XIX

Abstract

RESUMEN.-El objeto de este trabajo es estudiar la formación del concepto moderno de historia a partir de lo que hemos denominado la historia erudita,la historia filosófica y la historia científica. Asimismo, la génesis de este concepto ilumina algunos aspectos cruciales de la crisis epistemológica que atraviesa la historiografía de este fin de siglo.ABSTRACT: This article discusses the building up of the modern concept of History through the developing of the three initial and different ways of understanding it that I have denominated «Erudit History», «Philosophical History» and «Scientific History». The analysis of the genesis of the concept, considered in this form, can illuminate some crucial aspects of the recent epistemológica!debate about the function and status of History in this fin de siècle.
