Abstract
The Education of Young and Adults in the city of Florianópolis (SC) works with Research as an Educational Principle. This represents a series of changes in the forms of understanding and practices of teachers working in that particular context. The main objective of this article is to describe the characteristics of a moment inherent to the functioning of the EJA in Florianópolis: the planning meeting. For this, ethnographic research methodologies with field observations and oral history methodologies were used in which teachers in this context were interviewed. As conclusion of this research it is possible to affirm that the planning meetings, as conceived in the Education of Young and Adults of Florianópolis, institutionally provide a rare moment of exchanges and dialogues between teachers, this generates positive results for the work of the teachers and makes possible the actions with students via Research as an Educational Principle.
