Overhead transmission lines may be destroy by strong wind, the collapse of it may bring about serious consequences. Therefore, understanding the dynamic response changing laws of the tower with various wind conditions is necessary in design stage. This paper introduced a prediction method of dynamic behaviors of tower based on support vector regression (SVR). Firstly, the numerical model of a representative transmission line section under fluctuating wind was set up by ABAQUS was introduced. Then according to the experiment design, 16 groups of finite element models with different wind speed, direction angle and initial stress were computed. With the results, the surrogate model of dynamic response was set up based on the SVR. And the prediction model is proved by comparing the numerical results and prediction ones. The method can take the place of the long time numerical computation to obtain wind-induced dynamic behaviors in the whole range of different design parameters.
