Abstract
This article aims to analyze the discrepancy between the Salvationist discourses in favor of the use of technologies in Education and the teaching work in the State Public Network of Minas Gerais (REE / MG). It is justified by the increase in the number of speeches by the State Secretariat of Education of Minas Gerais (SEE / MG) between 2003 and 2014 in favor of the use of technologies in education as a necessity to raise quality in education. Thus, SEE / MG acquired computers, digital slates for the REE / MG schools and educational tablets for teachers working in the same teaching network. Questionnaires were applied and semi-structured interviews were conducted with five secondary teachers from different disciplines who worked at REE / MG. The research approach was qualitative. The analyzes indicate that there was a lack of continuous training for the use of technologies by REE / MG teachers; Obstacles to the use of technology in education in the REE / MG and that the SEE / MG adopted an instrumentalist view on technologies in education in the context studied.
